I also consult, not only on
lighting setups but, on lighting problems and issues. Recently I was contracted
by Lenscrafters to consult on their "Glass Studio". They were
developing a kiosk where a customer could have their picture captured electronically
and then have any pair of glasses in the store be superimposed over their image on the
computer screen before them. The computer software worked great but, they were having problems with massive amounts of
glare & unflattering lighting in the capturing process.
I consulted with them over the
course of four months as the bugs in the station were worked out and the capturing
process redesigned. I gave them lighting strategies for the
innumerable store configurations as well as needed source materials like
low density two way mirror glass, lamp & wattage specifications on
overhead lighting. I also consulted on the dynamics of video
cameras, lens apertures, depth of field, color balance and the esthetic
considerations of how to light their customers.
If you are involved in R&D
that involves lighting, cameras or esthetic considerations around their use
and incorporation within a project, let my years of real life working
experience & technical knowledge solve your problems and provide
workable solutions.
